living with disappointment
Mar. 4th, 2006 11:15 pmgot to watch the JLU, but it didn't get taped because Carl Sagan's Cosmos was on.
Went to King and Queen's Rapier Champions today. The first round was a pool of 7, (one of eight) used to get the seeding for the second round, which was "one loss, good bye!" time, but allowed for three fights before you left. I had one win in the first round, 4 straight losses, and a bout that went to a re-fight because my opponent and I killed each other before she killed me. I wasn't too thrilled, but the fights were technically decent, and I at least fought as best I could.
At the second round I had the misfortune (?) to face someone I used to fight a lot. He killed me twice, we had enough time and so we fought the third bout. I disarmed him, so I feel a little better.
After the tournament was a meeting of the League of Rapier Academies. Mostly promotions and inductions.
