Just got off the phone with Comcast. They gave me a "courtesy call" to remind me that I have a past due amount of (less than one month's bill) and if I didn't pay it cable would be cut off and would I like to make a payment over the phone now?

I said I'd pay online and thanked the person and went and got the bill.
It's due 3/8, not now. Calling up the local Comcast support produced a "gee you shouldn't have gotten a call like that it must be a mistake."

Oh, yeah, right. Gee, thanks.

I got a call like this a couple months ago (I like to pay bills on alternate months), and paid off the balance because I wasn't certain of the details of the matter.
Sheesh, makes me think that it was a case of "gee, we want the money early."
