The bike odometer has hit about 10 miles since I've re-set it, so it's about due (I have gone more than a hundred miles since I bought it last year, but I don't consider it that impressive, I've had it for almost a year now). I'm hoping to use it to get to-from work this week, weather permitting.

Yesterday was bike to the post office, and then to a meeting of a knitting circle at a local book shop, where I ended up showing someone how to use a drop spindle, for my sins. She has bits from a prize winning alpaca fleece, and a drop spindle her father made for her. The fleece bits were lovely, the drop spindle is clever, and the only problem was that she's right handed, and I'm a lefty. After the circle broke up, it was time to indulge a little in book shopping. This place will be dangerous if I'm not careful. Especially if I keep taking $3 worth of books in, and taking home $6 (after trade in). About 5 miles accomplished all told.

More riding today, and discovering I had attached the milk crate to my bike rack badly, and had to re-attach it. No disasters, and I now have a portable folding hammock for Pennsic (why yes, I do believe in decadent camping, thank you), but strapping it on (it didn't fit in the milk crate). I now have 10' of rope to go with my tire pump in the "stays on the bike" bag, with the helmet.

I finally managed to get a grilled cheese sandwich, with tomato soup, of course, and found out we don't have any worsteshire sauce. Still yummy.
