Just heard from two sources, both heralds, that my arms have passed. Apparently it even got a "nice armory" Thanks [livejournal.com profile] m_streight and [livejournal.com profile] lumineax. This makes my arms ... a bit of a personal joke about the number of tents I've camped in at Pennsic, all official like. Yay.

On the weather front, threats of snow, sleet and other such assorted nastiness has caused cancellation of the fencing practice tonight. This means I get to stay home, I may even get some sewing done. It's a mixed blessing. I last got to this practice almost a month ago.

At work, yesterday, a section of plaster in the ceiling about 8 feet long and about a foot wide (? I can't get up there to see it) fell into the audience portion of the main theatre. There is supposed to be a performance of "The Nutcracker Suite" there this weekend, but it may get cancelled. The falling plaster is dry, so it's not rain soakage causing it, maybe, but when the men from Facilities went up to look at it and tap it, more fell as they were checking it out. This does not bode well for the dancers, but at least it was discovered before the performance, not during it. I saw some of the pieces, and the theatre co-ordinator says people could've been killed by that konking them on the noggin. Not sure about that, but definately hospitals, ICU, doctors, blood, police, paramedics, lawsuits and all sorts of other such not-so-wonderfulness. They are contemplating cancelling the performance at the moment.

They have the thermostat for my building so cold I went scrounging in the back of my truck for something warm. Found a piece of garb and I'm wearing it in my office. A co-worker thinks it's a military coat. I don't care. It's silk lined and warm.

Very nice and simple. I love how the simple arms are the ones that can pass... makes it real easy to reproduce as well.
